Easter Event

We want to thank all the kids and parents who came to our Easter event on Saturday! We really wanted to have a picnic in the park and sit under the cherry blossoms at Tateyama Park but the possibility of rain put a damper on our plans. Thank you for still making the effort to come to Playday and celebrate Easter with us. Even though the weather forecast made us cancel our picnic, we all had fun decorating eggs and searching for hidden eggs that were filled with treats.

 

土曜日のイースターに来てくださった生徒さんと保護者の皆さん、ありがとうございました！私たちスタッフも本当に立山公園の桜の木下に座ってピクニックをしたかったのですが、雨の可能性が、私たちの計画に水を差すことになってしまいました。プレイデイに来る努力をしてくれて、そして私たちと一緒にイースターのお祝いをしてくださってありがとうございました。天気予報が私たちにピクニックをキャンセルさせることになりましたが、卵をデコレートとしたり、おやつの入った隠れた卵を探したりして、みんな楽しみました。

 

In line with American tradition, the children colored boiled eggs in dyes and decorated them with drawings and stickers. We also had mini Easter egg hunts in one of our classrooms, an Easter basket craft and an Easter bunny craft.

 

アメリカの伝統では、子ども達はゆで卵に色をつけて、絵を描いたり、シールをはったりして飾り付けをします。私たちも、教室でちょっとしたイースターエッグハントをしたり、イースターバスケット作りやイースターのうさぎ作りをしました。

 

Some of the students and teachers even ate their eggs soon after decorating them!

 

生徒さんや先生の中には、卵をデコレートした後すぐに卵を食べている人もいました！
