Marine Day

Marine Day is coming up next week and that means the beaches will be open to the public. We can look forward to sunbathing on the sand or splashing in the cool water or having a barbecue with friends.

 

来週は海の日で、海開きです。砂浜で日光浴をしたり、冷たい水をまき散らしたり、友達とバーベキューをしたりするのが楽しみですね。

 

In America, there is no Marine Day that kicks off the beach season. People go to the beach when the weather is fine and the temperature is warm. They enjoy swimming, snorkeling, surfing, paddling, windsurfing, scuba diving and boogie boarding.

 

 

アメリカでは、ビーチシーズンが始まる海の日というのはありません。天気がよくて、気温が暖かければビーチに行きます。水泳、シュノーケル、サーフィン、ウィンドサーフィン、スキューバダイビング、ブギーボーディングなどを楽しみます。

 

On the sand, children dig holes, bury their friends in the sand, build sand castles or play with beach balls.

 

砂浜では、子ども達は大きな穴を掘って、友達を砂に埋めたり、砂のお城を作ったりビーチボールで遊びます。

 

It is also fun to just relax on the beach, breathe in the salty ocean air, feel the warm sand between your toes and the warm sun on your skin, and watch the waves break against the shore.

 

ビーチでただリラックスして、海のしおの空気を吸って、足の指の間で暖かい砂を感じて、肌で太陽の暖かさを感じて、岸で波が砕け散る波も見るのもいいですね。
